2024 in review

While this won’t come as a surprise to anyone, as a business that works in the market research, we love data!

So we thought we’d give you a sneaky peek some of the top stats that have shaped 2024, and have kept the BEAM team mighty busy. It’s important that we take time to reflect on what is behind us, and learn, so that we can deliver even bigger and better work in 2025.

So, without further ado, we present 2024…

The Research

We had 28 clients new to BEAM in 2024.

We delivered a large majority of qual projects in 2024 with an 8% reduction in quant projects numbers in comparison to 2023.

Despite this, we delivered huge amount of interviewing shifts for businesses like Itsu, Holland & Barrett, The National Trust and New Look.

Face-to-face research was on the up in 2024, with a 13% increase on 2023.

Consumer continues to dominate. There was a 10% reduction in B2B recruitment vs 2023.

There were some key research themes that really stuck out with FMCG, tech and devices and online and social leading the way.

Participants

We placed over 8,500 participants in projects between February and December.

We love automotive projects, and placed 1140 prestige car owners across 26 projects.

Give Opinions has grown to a mighty 34,000+ (hoping we can hit 35,000 by the end of January).

More good news on the Give Opinions front, with participants who took part in research giving a massive NPS score of 9.5, and an enjoyment rating of 4.8/5.

International

We stretched our international wings, with 15% of projects delivered outside of the UK.

Which resulted in a 45% increase in international revenue compared to 2023.

Prizes and certificates

We had an incredible run at the MRS Oppies, with Caitlin winning RAS Independent Recruiter of the Year, Give Opinions and our sister company Brand Jar winning Best Online Qual, and a finalist in the Recruitment Excellence category.

We are FSQS accredited for the second year running.

9 members of the BEAM team are certified and we have MRS Recruiter Accreditation Company Status for the 3rd year running.

The wholesome stuff

We continued our sponsorship of men’s mental health charity Mentell for the 3rd year by donating money for participant feedback.

And last but not least, BEAM turned 8 years old.
